Hansells improves productivity with WinScribe

London, March 19, 2007 - Hansells Solicitors has replaced its out of date dictation solution with a new WinScribe system to improve productivity across all of its office locations. For the first time, regardless of location, fee earners will be able to make use of transcription resources across Hansell’s six offices, making significant cost savings.

Already convinced of the benefits of digital dictation to better manage workload and allocate resource, Hansells turned to WinScribe for a more reliable solution to ensure a consistent service to its clients. The software will be implemented by WinScribe’s partner, Mayday, and will initially be used by fee earners and 45 transcribers based across six of the firm’s offices, including the head office in Norwich. Whether office-based or a remote user, fee earners will be able to upload dictations onto the WinScribe system and have them queued ready for transcription by the first available transcriber.

Roger Holden managing partner, comments: “Our previous dictation system had many limitations, the main one being that offices and fee earners were working in isolation and they were limited to transcribing in their own office – we simply weren’t utilising our resources across all the offices. With WinScribe we expect to see a vast improvement in the performance and flexibility of transcribers and the ability to easily prioritise actions and view work flow will make for better forecasting and decision making.”
